The 2022 ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year is Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar Yadav, a star batsman for India, was named the ICC T20I Men's Cricketer of the Year on Wednesday. Suryakumar Yadav had a fantastic year with the bat, shattering a number of records and creating a benchmark that had never been reached in the game's shortest version. Suryakumar, who finished 2022 as the top run-getter with 1164 runs scored at an absurd strike-rate of 187.43, became just the second batter to tally more than 1,000 runs in a calendar year.
What they said
"The ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year had one of the best seasons of any player in the history of the competition. Here, we examine his ridiculous 2022 as well as the year's best performances," ICC released a statement.
"Yadav put on quite a few memorable performances throughout the year. But probably his best performance was in Nottingham, where he made his first T20I hundred, a breathtaking 117 off 55 balls, against one of the best white-ball teams in recent memory, England," the ICC stated in a statement.
He scored two hundreds and nine half-centuries while playing for India in T20 internationals. Suryakumar's greatest performances of the year were listed by the ICC. The most by any batter in the format's history, he hit an astounding 68 sixes during the year.
